>> Good afternoon Field Staff and Unit Popcorn Kernels,
>>
>> Below you will find the Popcorn campaign scorecard. Brazos Valley is very close!!! Let's send some encouragement to them as they are right there.
>>
>> The Popcorn Campaign Scorecard is actually adjusted to include the actual number of units that made a Popcorn sale. As of today, 135 of the 160 units that committed to sell actually made a sale of some sort (Traditional or Online). Our overall sales total sits at $1,265,877. Also, the District Sales totals from 2023 are included.
>>
>> Please see the list that is attached of units that committed to the 2024 sale but as of right now have zero sales. Thank you to Helen for sending in an update about all the units who have not sold in Frontier Trails and Mustang. For the rest of the staff, please send in your updates regarding the units who have not sold by Thursday, 10/17/24 by end of day please to Bryant and I.
>>
>> Finally, attached is the unit-by-unit sale tracking for each district.

I missed the meeting, but caught up with Pat Browder and got the information for you:
Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. I hope you are doing well. During the training meeting we discussed the current state of trained leaders in each district and overall in the Council. We have been working on a mission statement for the training. I will send out the one we are still working on in the next week and a half. At this time the Lone Star district has a 55% overall trained leaders. Your district needs to focus on pack committee members and troop new member coordinators. Currently the Council is sitting at 60.1% trained leaders with the Executive Board wanting us to be at 70% by the end of the year. The Districts range anywhere from 49.1% to 82% trained leaders. The Santa Fe, Brazos Valley, Trinity Trails and Arrowhead districts are offering IOLS/BALOO in October if you know of anyone that is in need of those. We are offering Pack Committee, Troop Committee, and SM Specifics at UOS. Dustin Wyatt, the Lone Star training Chair, was scheduled to teach the Pack Committee training. I am currently looking for someone to take his place, if you have any ideas. I hope this helps. I will send the next agenda to you when I have it finished.

Our District Commissioner is Charlie Dodds (cc’d) and Ryan is our temporary DE but has many other titles at the Council. As Ryan’s note to the membership implies, we are a bit thin at the District level but with lots of dedicated scouters working directly with the youth at the unit level. I does appear that there is no one to attend the meeting noted by Ryan below (including myself who is helping out one of our newest units at an event tonight), so we would be very appreciative if you could rep the LS District at this meeting. It does seem to have a teleconference option should you wish.

> Subject: Popcorn issue at Albertsons Storefront
>
>
> Hello Lee,
> I received an email stating Pack 435 had an issue today at Albertsons. Please see the information below related to Albertsons and Tom Thumb storefronts featured in the Kernel Journal(communication to Unit Kernels).
>
> I will contact Christy Lara with Albertsons on Monday morning to make her aware of the issue with the Saginaw store. Sorry to the Pack for the inconvenience.
>
> If you have an issue with a Tom Thumb or Albertsons storefront, please inform the Store Manager of the following information:
> Scouts are approved by Christy Lara to sale popcorn in front of your stores from September 6 to October 4th.
> Ask the store manager to refer to their “Daily Leadership Bulletin” from the Operations Leadership team which highlights the details of the approval for Scouts to sell popcorn in front of your store.
