Subject: Registration Updates 9.5.24 - Reports/3x3/Emails
This communication is being sent to all local council Scout Executives, CST Directors, Registrars, Registration staff and interested parties
Good Morning,
Please see the registration updates below.
- The “Unit Based membership reports” found in Organization manager and Registrar Tools have been temporarily disabled in my.Scouting due to changes needed to account for the new renewal status. Councils should reference their Dashboard in my.Scouting for reliable membership numbers in the interim. Those number have been confirmed to be accurate.
- 3x3 units – There is now a special interest code “3by3” that needs to be selected when creating a new 3x3 unit. Units are required to have the three leadership positions specific to a pack, troop, crew or ship. The requirement of two members of committee have been removed. It is still recommended that units are Chartered by the council. However, any that are chartered by an outside organization will still require an IH and COR.
- The frequence of emails going to key 3 reminding them to approve membership renewals has been updated. The emails are now going on Tuesday and Thursday only and are now a batch email vs an individual email per person. So, one email will list all that are waiting to be approved instead of multiple emails.
- Another change to the renewal approval reminder emails is that the email listing youth will only go to the unit leader and the Committee Chair and the email listing the adults will only go to the Chartered Organization Rep.
- As a reminder, Unit Key-3 get emails for leads on Tuesday and Thursday and Pending membership Applications on Wednesday and Friday.
Have a great day! 😊

Please see the message below containing tools to support your roundtable staff.
This would also be a great deposit into each of our packs as we are contacting them regarding scheduling their recruitments and having conversations about their renewals.

Subject: Updated Tools to Strengthen Cub Scout Packs
Team –
I wanted to forward on a tool that can be used at roundtables and beyond to help strengthen our cub scout packs. For those of you that are new, these roundtable videos can be uses to get oriented on fall recruitments.
Updated Tools to Strengthen Cub Scout Packs
Over the years councils and districts have explored new ways to deliver roundtables. During the pandemic, thetools were made available to conduct virtual roundtables with the use of roundtable videos. There are over 30 different Cub Scout roundtable videos with new videos produced throughout the year. The Cub Scout roundtable videos have been updated to reflect the 2024 program updates. With it, a newCub Scout Roundtable Video Guide is available to assist unit-serving executives and roundtable commissioners. This guide has a suggested month-by-month video for those who conduct more formal roundtables. The guide also explains that these videos can be used at any time as a coaching tool for packs who need help in a specific area.
