January Cabinet Notes / February Meeting

Attached is the presentation from the Commissioner Cabinet. As you can see, for 2022 from nearly every metric measured Lone Star District is consistently one of the top districts in the Council. Thanks to everyone for all they do for Scouting, all of your efforts at reaching out and helping units had a huge impact to preserve and grow the Scouting movement in our area. Our next meeting is next Thursday February 2nd at 8PM following the District Committee Meeting - both will be in person at Azle First Assembly. Congratulations to Lone Star District Commissioner Tom Kisner!

Thomas Kisner was nominated and awarded the St. George Medal today by the National Catholic Committee On Scouting; one of only two persons that received the award from the entire Catholic Diocese of Ft. Worth which covers most of North Texas straight north of Ft. Worth to the Red River and west to Quanah through Cisco, Commanche, and Hillsboro to the south The National Catholic Committee on Scouting, acting through the local diocese or eparchy, award the St. George emblem to members of the laity and clergy, Scouters, and non-Scouters alike, who have made significant and outstanding contributions to the spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting. As fyi, the other awardee is a priest and Vicar General of the Diocese of Fort Worth. Thomas will be presented the award at an evening ceremony at Good Shepherd Catholic Community next weekend.
